Privacy Policy
Cut-It-Close · updated 20 September 2026
The short version. The game keeps your progress on your own device and does not send it anywhere. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics.
The two exceptions are the advertising and payment services built into Android, which are operated by Google and are covered below.
What the game stores on your device
Your progress is saved in the app’s local storage, on your phone:
- level, experience and prestige
- which blades, effects and backdrops you have unlocked, and which are equipped
- seeds, sugar and gems
- which objects you have cut and how many times
- settings — sound volumes and haptics
- whether you have made a purchase
This never leaves your device. There is no server to send it to. Clearing the app’s data, or uninstalling the app, deletes all of it permanently — there is no backup, and no way for anyone, including us, to recover it.
What the game does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no email address
- No analytics or crash reporting
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files
- No social features, no messaging, no user-to-user contact
- Nothing is sold or shared with anyone
Advertising
The game shows two kinds of ads:
- Rewarded video ads — short videos you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus, such as DOUBLE IT.
- An occasional full-screen ad between runs — never during a run, never in your first few runs, and no more than once every three runs.
These are served by Google AdMob, which collects a device advertising ID and related technical information in order to serve and measure ads. We do not receive, store, or have access to that information.
- AdMob’s policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
Buying Remove Ads turns off the full-screen ads between runs for good. Rewarded videos stay available, because you choose when to watch one.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment details are handled by Google and never reach the game or us — the app only learns whether a purchase completed. Google’s privacy policy.
Children
The game is intended for players aged 13 and over. Its content is mild — no violence, no chat, and no way to reach another player — but it is not built for or aimed at younger children, and it is not listed in Google Play’s Families programme.
It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all. There is no account to close and no record to request: clearing the app’s data removes everything it ever stored.
Ads are served through AdMob and are subject to Google’s own policies on ad content.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app’s store listing.
