Terms of Service
Cut-It-Close · updated 20 September 2026
The short version. Play the game, don’t break it, and understand that anything you buy is an in-game item rather than property. The game will keep changing — that is what an updated game is — and the section on that is the one worth reading.
Installing or playing Cut-It-Close means you accept these terms.
What you are getting
A personal, non-exclusive licence to play the game on devices you own. You do not own the game itself, its code, its artwork or its sounds, and you may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute them.
Gems, seeds and sugar
These are in-game currencies. They are not money, not credit, and not property. Specifically:
- They have no value outside the game and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- They cannot be sold, traded, gifted or transferred to another player.
- They live in your device’s storage. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes them permanently. There is no backup and no way for anyone, including us, to restore them.
- Buying them is a licence to use them inside the game, not a purchase of an asset you keep.
Purchases and refunds
All payments go through Google Play Billing. We never see or handle your payment details — the game only learns whether a purchase completed.
Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy, not by us. Remove Ads and the Starter Pack are one-time purchases and can be restored if you reinstall. Gem packs are consumable: once the gems are in your account they are spent items, and reinstalling does not bring them back.
The game will change
This is the part people skip, so it is in plain words.
We may add, alter, rebalance, retire or remove any part of the game at any time, including objects, blades, effects, backdrops, prices, the rate you earn currency, and what an upgrade costs or does. We may also stop supporting the game entirely.
Practically, that means a blade you like may be tuned, a price may move, and an upgrade that felt strong may be brought back into line. Currency you have already spent is not refunded when something is rebalanced, and we are not able to undo a purchase because the game later changed around it. This is normal for a game that gets updates, and it is stated here rather than buried so that it is not a surprise.
What we will not do is take away something you paid real money for. If Remove Ads is bought, the ads between runs stay off.
Fair play
Do not modify the app, tamper with its saved data, or use tools to alter scores or currency. The game keeps everything on your device, so cheating mostly spoils your own game — but if leaderboards are added later, altered scores may be removed and access to them withdrawn.
Ads
The game shows two kinds of ads. Rewarded videos are optional: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game bonus, and closing it before the end forfeits that bonus. Full-screen ads appear occasionally between runs, never during one. Ad content comes from Google AdMob and is subject to Google’s policies rather than ours. Buying Remove Ads turns off the ads between runs; rewarded videos stay available for you to choose.
Age
The game is intended for players aged 13 and over. See the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice.
No warranty
The game is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will run on every device. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it, and nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law in your country that cannot be waived.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may withdraw the game from sale or stop supporting it, in which case it will keep working on devices it is already installed on for as long as the device and operating system allow, but will not be updated.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Material changes will be noted in the app’s store listing. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
